loyalty-missions:
Nominations for Loyalty Missions, a Mass Effect gift exchange for non-protagonist pairings, are now open!
Head over to the tag set on AO3 and/or the more legible spreadsheet, have a quick look to see if the ships you’ve nominated are there already, and if they’re not, click Nominate to tell us some ships you’d love to have in the exchange.
An AO3 account is required for this; if you don’t have one, please contact the mods for an AO3 invite.
Use “Mass Effect - All Media Types” for the fandom on all of your ships, regardless of whether they’re from the trilogy vs. Andromeda vs. books/comics.

Cannot include Commander Shepard nor Pathfinder Ryder
By Pathfinder Ryder, we mean the protagonist of Andromeda; Alec and the twin who does not become Pathfinder are eligible so long as they do not become Pathfinder in the gift
Can be romantic, sexual, or platonic
Use / between characters for romantic or sexual ships, and & for platonic ships
Can include more than two people
Cannot include canonically homosexual characters in heterosexual romantic or sexual ships
You may nominate up to fifteen ships. If you run out of nominations and have a few more ships you’d like to nominate, please contact the mods and we will add them for you.
All nominations must be approved by the mods, so you won’t see your ships in the tag set right away.

Signups: September 11 - 24
Assignments sent out: September 25
Gifts due: November 6
Gifts revealed: November 9
Creators revealed: November 16

We’re not even halfway through the nominations period and we have over 200 ships nominated so far! See that icon in the banner above? That’s you lot, nominating a whole varied world of ships. Thank you!
A few little tips to help us approve your nominations faster:
Make sure your submissions have appropriate capitalization, eg. Character One & Character Two, not “CHARACTER ONE & CHARACTER TWO” nor “character one & character two”.
Use AO3’s canonical tags for characters, eg. Jack is tagged there as “Jack | Subject Zero”, not “Jack”.
Watch your spelling, eg. Zaeed’s son is Bain, not “Bane”.
Ships nominated with the above errors cannot be approved as is, and must be retyped by us.
That said, keep your nominations coming, and tell your friends!
